Questions
What do I get?
A PDF you can read on a phone, tablet or computer, and print if you like. After you pay we email you a payment confirmation, then a second email with your files attached. If it does not arrive, you can have it sent again.
Is this official?
No. It is an independent study aid and is not a Department of Basic Education document. It does not predict the paper and does not guarantee marks or a pass.
Is it enough on its own?
Use it together with your teacher and your textbook, and practise on a computer.
Will it cover the 2026 paper?
No. It covers the 2022 to 2025 November papers. A later edition will add the 2026 papers.
When is the theory exam?
The Department of Basic Education timetable has CAT Paper 2 (Theory) on Thursday 29 October 2026, in the afternoon session, for three hours. Check the date with your school.
Theory or practical?
Theory (Paper 2) is the next exam, so the theory guides come first on this page. The practical guides (Paper 1) are further down, for revision or for next year. They are separate products.
What is the free checklist?
The Core Learner Checklist is a 14-page tick-list for Paper 2: what to know for each question, a last-week focus and seven rules that save marks. It is included free, in the same language, with every theory guide.
Which language?
Both. Pick the English guides (CAT) or the Afrikaans guides (Rekenaartoepassingstegnologie, RTT) in the buy section. The EN/AF switch at the top only changes the language of this page.
Can I get a refund?
Not if you change your mind: every file is digital, delivered at once and made out in your name. But if you buy a theory guide and pay before 14:00 on 29 October 2026, and the learner does not pass CAT (a final CAT mark below 30% on their official 2026 NSC certificate or Statement of Results), we refund your order. Email us the proof by 28 February 2027. If the file never reaches you, is damaged or is not what you paid for, email us at [enable JavaScript to see our email address] and we will fix it or refund you. See the terms.
